EXPANSION OF THE JARDOEIRA INDUSTRIAL ESTATE

The expansion of the Jardoeira Industrial Estate will significantly increase the number of locations available to businesses, benefiting companies that wish to increase their capacity or establish themselves in new units. The estate also benefits from close access to several main roads, such as the EN1, the A19, the A8, the A1 and the IC9.

SUPPORT FOR EMPLOYMENT CREATION

The Municipality of Batalha offers various types of support in the incentivisation of entrepreneurship and creation of jobs, by working closely with several other entities. The fiscal policies implemented in the municipality also benefit both companies and residents, key factors of which are: minimum rates of Council Tax charged, and one of the lowest rates of Municipal tax charged in the country.

The GAEE (Business And Entrepreneurial Advice Bureau), a service provided by the Municipality of Batalha, is dedicated to providing a personalised service to companies and entrepreneurs. The service aims to contribute to strengthening the relationship between the Municipality and local economic development agents.

• To develop action plans that will integrate and provide a network of services;
• To facilitate access to financial support for companies located in the Municipality of Batalha;
• To promote a culture of entrepreneurship, based on a network of entities that support entrepreneurs.
